Post Body

Hi guys. I wanna start off that I'm reeeeeeaaaaalllllly limited when it comes to my experience with Dungeons and Dragons. I had one campaign I played when I was in my teens. And recently my coworkers invited me to play with them over Discord. And in both cases the level of technology is Medieval (I did do another RPGs with my buddies when I was in my 20s but it was in a Mad Max/ Fallout type of universe).

I was wondering if there's a rule book or something that sets a standard for DnD to be set in a Pike and Shot type of time period. Where, sure guns are around, but sword and spear are still used. I figured if it would be a good setting that I might offer our group an idea of a campaign where we're pirates or privateers lost in the Japans or were making our way there. Fighting dragons, sea monsters, Goblin pirates and Elven Corsairs on our way to find the passage to the east.

I'm all eyes if you guys think this could fit. I've never DMed obviously so that might be a challenge with in itself 😆.

Edit: yeah I know this kinda sounds a lot like Warhammer 😆
