Should I add ranged to melee based monsters?

So I looked through and cataloged all the monsters in the adventure and I noticed there are a decent amount of melee only monsters such as Minotaurs and Shadow Assassins. However, my players have slippers of spider climb and boots of flight. Those encounters would become so easy as they take pot shots while a safe distance away as the monsters try to hit them.
Would it make it unbalanced if I gave Minotaurs javelins to switch to and throwing daggers for Shadow Assassins?
