How do you make perception checks more interesting?
Post Body
As a new DM, I'd really like to know- what should I know about asking for perception checks?
I don't believe that the players are blind until they get a perception check. I feel like still providing characters the normal amount of detail that any average person would notice, and only calling for perception checks if there is something hidden.
Are there any tips I should know about calling for perception checks from any veteran DMs?
