I think it can suck like that but it doesn't have to. Of course the audience and how the event is structured is important.

I really doubt good actors generally feel that way. Plenty of actors love a chance to revisit their old roles, especially when they spent so much time on them.

I mean, John Krasinki and Steve Carell might be busy with other roles. I doubt the actors who come to the reunions are hard-up for cash.
But there might be an image factor too. I think John Krasinki would rather be known as Jack Ryan than Jim Halpert at this point in his career.
