I live in the DC area, so I really want to see Duke play in the conference tournament this year. Trying to purchase tickets as early as possible since they fill up fast and the longer I wait the less tickets will be available. Should I play it safe and buy tickets for the first session that Duke would be playing in (assuming they finish as either a 1 or 2 seed where they are now in the standings) or should I purchase tickets for the championship game with the hopes (and confidence) that they’ll make it that far? Duke has had ups and downs this season, but they’re playing really well lately, and a deep conf. tourney run is more than possible for them. Watching them win one in person would be magical. On the other hand, I’m not 100% on the refundability of the tickets, nor do I know anyone who I could reliably offload the tickets onto if Duke isn’t in the championship game, so it kinda is important that I buy tickets for a game they actually play. Also, funds are somewhat limited, so spending thousands on a ticket last minute after they win the conf. semis wouldn’t be feasible (another reason why I’m trying to get tickets early).
