I’m a new viewer of the Duggar fam, so I thought I’d write out my thoughts as I watched the first season of Counting On.

1. First episode in I can already tell Ben hates his life. There’s no light in his eyes, he’s dead already. Reminds me of my last semester of uni lmao. Did he just think Jessa was pretty or was he a fan of the family?

2. In Episode 2, Jessa and Ben saying they’re open to adoption. What the hell? And then Jill and Derick saying they would were open to it too. I don’t know why but this strikes me as so odd. I also don’t think it’s for good reasons; probably just so they can feel oh so holy. Please, lol don’t let any adoptions agencies actually let them adopt kids into their cult. Kids deserve better than that Jfc.

   Addendum: The kids at the orphanage looking at Derick like “Just give us the coloring pages you fucking praying mantis”.

3. What happened to Derick’s face? Seriously how did Jill marry him when he looks so...well like that?

4. Is Ben a part of the fundie cult? He’s got that stoner look more than anything lmao.

5. Does Jessa even really believe in all the fundie crap? Honestly seems like she just wants money from her dad and attention from everyone else about her “perfect” family.

6. What the hell does Ben even do as a job in the beginning?

7. JINGER’S EYELINER OH LAWD. IT’S LIKE SHE’S FUNDIE EMO LMAO

8. I don’t want to shame their speaking skills because learning a language is hard for some people, but I can’t help but cringe when Jill and Derick speak Spanish.

9. Anna’s nose is SO pointy like omg I didn’t even know it was possible for someone to have this sharp of a nose. Could cut a fucking diamond with it.

10. Jessa saying she’s not a fan of pain. BRUH THEN WHY ARE YOU HAVING A HOMEBIRTH?!

11. Hey Meech, the ‘90s called and said they want their ugly ass hair back. Scratch that. They just want you to dump it.

12. FUCK I WAS NOT PREPARED TO SEE A BLOODY BABY ON THE SCREEN FUCK!
