Is Jill giving Michelle too much credit, or were we giving Michelle too little credit?

Post Body
Jill makes it seem like Michelle is the good guy in the family. She describes her as a loving, involved mother who reprimands Josh for his arrogance and is determined to have a relationship with her kids no matter what JB's stance is.
I've always thought Michelle was just as terrible as her husband, but now I can't decide. Thoughts?

Agreed. I've thought a lot about my childhood as I've navigated parenting my 8 year old, and the circumstances my parents were in compared to mine. I don't think my childhood was terrible. But there were periods of time that were more stressful than they should have been (mostly thanks to my dad) and looking back, I feel for my mom as she tried her hardest to keep things as stable as possible for us. My daughter's father is wholly unstable, so I relate very hard to fighting that battle at the moment.
