First time ordering a Ducati

Hello everyone,
I am interested in some opinions and options on how to order a Ducati. I was looking to put order one of the panigale v4 sp2 30th anniversario 916 for 2025. I haven’t ever order something like this before just looking to see how to go about it. Do I just call a dealer an give them a deposit? Do that guarantee the bike to be ordered or just a name put on a list?
