Hiya, probably a question/post that comes around commonly.
I recently started playing EvE and absolutely love it (for now). I'm what some would call a spreadsheet gamer, so it's the perfect game for me.
Sadly, a new update has been announced that completely screws a lot of people over, creates a more toxic environment, and pushes players to spend more money on the game.
I do not enjoy such game design, so I'm looking for potential alternatives for EvE that can offer me similar gameplay.
During that search I stumbled upon Dual Universe. What I wonder now is whether or not it is a true contender? What can I expect from the future of the game? I'm okey with paying a subscription, but not with still having to overcome the typical pushing towards microtransactions along with that.
It's the first time I'm hearing of this game. Is this because it's still in early development? Or has the marketing been lacking? If it is due to a lack of marketing, are there concerns about whether or not there will be a proper playerbase?
Cheers for any answers to my many questions!
