I(21f) have dry eyes since I was 18. I am 21 now. I Think it started because of too much sreen exposure. But however, It was not this painful and dry before.
I had worked at a meat factory for 1 month. I worked there 3 / 4 days a week and did almost 10 to 12 hours shift a day. It was very cold in there. Just after my first day I experienced extreme dry eyes and headaches. But still continued with the job as I didnt had any other jobs at the time.
It was last year around october. Now I feel a lot of regrets. My eyes aren't the same after that. My eyes were manageble with warm compressions and bluelight blocking glasess. But now they dont work like they used too. If I only knew working at such a cold environment with 0 humidity will left me in this pain, I would have never worked there. I feel so much regrets.
I started seeing my doctor this april. She recommended me doing all the home remedy. She put plugs in my eyes. But still I felt no improvement. On my last appointment she suggest to put me on cyclosprone eye drops. I agreed. Now it will arrive in few days. I hope it will make my eyes better.
But currently I am starting to feel extreme light sensitivity. It was there before but not like it is now. I did mention it to my doctor that currently I am experiencing headaches like eye strains. (I didnt say light sensitivity because I just realize it now). But she just questioned if I am wearing my prescribed glasses. To which I answered yes. ( Anyway a different doctor had prescribed me these glasses for readying as I had far sightedness. ) and thats all. She procced on to check my eyes.
I feel pain in the back of eye balls. Cannt fully open my eyes in day lights. Have constant eye strain which wont go away. what do you guys think is there a corelation between this pain and my dry eyes. Does anyone have similar problem? Will curing my dry eyes solve this? I am thinking of mentiong this problem to my dr on next visit.
Sorry, it got so long. I just wanted to tell my whole story ( get it off a bit from my chest) along with my current problems.
TR; DR I am starting to feel extreme light sensitivity after dealing with severe dry eyes for so long. Are they corelated? How can I cure it?
Plus, sometimes I am worried that I may go blind. ( help)
