I’ve been dealing with dry eyes now for ~2 years and have gone through endless treatments (IPL, Xiidra, restasis, serum drops) have made lifestyle choices to help (cut out alcohol, coffee, processed sweets, etc) and my eyes continue to get worse and worse.

One thing I had never tried was taping my eyes at night, so I bought some press n seal. I put out night eye ointment, cut a rectangle of the press n seal and put it over my eyes. I then put an eye mask over it.

I woke up middle of the night and my eyes were bloodshot, worse than they’ve ever been.

Am I having a bad reaction to the press n seal or the eye ointment? I’ve used the eye ointment consistently without issues. I don’t get it.
