Tried punctual plugs, warm compress, fish pills, steroids, restasis, castor oil, lipiflow (some improvement), bunch of eye gels and eye drops. Eye pain is unberable for the past 4 years. I havent been able to leave home these 4 years. I wear goggles to sleep and those heavy ass zena chambers. Manuka honey burns my nerves.

My glands dont seem that bad, I tried lipiflow for the first time, it has helped my symptoms a lot for 2 months but then came back. I dont want to dish out $900 every 4 months. Im broke college student.

She says that scleral lens will kill my glands, but my symptoms are killing me. At what point should i start pushing for scleral lens? My corneal specialist is very conservative. (I had to go behind her back to another opth to get serum tears because she wouldnt give them to me). Ive had her for 2 years.

My symptoms are intense sharp permanent eyepain 24/7. Im suicidal everyday. I personally feel like my doctor isnt worried about how bad my symptoms are. Like she would rather want me to kill myself then give mr scleral lens lol.

I go to kaiser and ive heard doctors get reprimanded for ordering things or going out of their way for more uncommon treatments. Should i try prokera for the nerve pain? But i have a feeling she wouldnt want to deal with that hassel. What should i do?
