Hello everyone,
( little about my background skip if you want )
I (23F) have been suffering from dry eyes for almost 5 years. I know how painful, mentally taxing and expensive this disease can be. Mine developed mostly due to excessive screen time which got triggered just by a few months working in a cold environment which I immensely regret 🤦. I've been through a lot of ups and downs with this condition. There were days where my eyes were dry as hell following with intense pain in the back of my eye ball and temple, sometime even extreme light sensitivity for days. After a lot of trial and errors and dry eye specialist visit, I have some how managed to bring it under control. The one of the top game changer for me has been xiidra along with systane lubricant hydro eye drops.

So the thing is I pay anywhere between $110 - $135 for a month supply of xiidra depending on whether I buy 3 (110 each )at a time or just one ( $135 ) here in Australia. Which can be expensive for some people like me. The packet has 60 packet of capsule which is enough to use two times a day lasting a month. however, I have noticed that single capsule can be enough to be used twice if the cap could be shield again like that in systane drops. Hence you make a single packet last 2 month then just 1. I have also used ikervis in the past, and it has the same issue, I know it's because it was meant to be used only once so there's no option. But I felt like it wouldn't hurt using a vial twice once open. Saving you half of your money over time.
I was thinking🤔 of creating such a cap for these vial to be stored for second use. It's just a thought.
What do you guys think? Would you buy it if I make it. How much price are you willing to pay for such product? Feel free to share your ideas to make this safe and usable.
