How long should it take for someone to start seeing decent progress when they start practicing double bass?

I’ve been drumming for a year and a half and have casually used the double bass but I never practiced it, how long before I see noticeable results?

Everyone's different... I've spent maybe 5x 20 minute practice sessions purely focussed on double bass and it's come on loads. Others would be quicker, others slower. Just takes dedicated time
