How Long Is A “Long Time” To Have A Meth Addiction?

Post Body

May have seen the post asking for help with my girlfriend the other day (yesterday? I’m not too sure). An update on that, it’s now been exactly 48 hours since she last took a meth pill and she’s been resting and hanging in there. Thank you for those who were supportive and helped me through that first post.

I’m curious as to what is considered a “long time” for a meth addiction. Mainly in terms of permanent side effects/long term side effects...she was full addicted to exclusively oral (pill form) use of meth for 2.5 months. Is that a relatively short enough time where she’ll be able to be mostly back to her old self within a month or two? Or should her family and I mentally prepare for this to be a long process? Obviously everything is anecdotal but at the mercy of my sanity I just would love to have anyone to talk to that’s gone through this and can give me an idea of what to expect
