Drunk/high only lasts a fraction of the time it’s supposed to, no tolerance
Post Body

So I only drink a few drinks once a week, only use benzos sparingly (only started using them the other week maybe once a week at most) when they are prescribed (and haven’t in years), weed only like once or twice a year, and kratom I just started taking. I have never had a problem feeling the buzz or high from anything in the past, but recently (and I only do these things very rarely so it’s not like I have a tolerance), I only feel the high from the substance for a very short period of time, even if I have never tried the substance before! For example, when I take sips of alcohol, the buzz only lasts a few seconds before I feel completely sober again. Valium only lasts half an hour to an hour before I feel normal again. Kratom (even though I’d never taken it before) only lasts about 15-30 minutes and I’ve tried multiple strains and vendors and amounts now. The high from weed only lasted a few seconds the one time I smoked it since this strange thing started happening. I even tried drinking a lot of alcohol and the buzz would still only last for a few seconds. I still act drunk/high/etc. but I can’t feel it. This has not always been the case, I used to feel drunk/high just fine for years (and I never drank or used drugs a lot or often, less than the average person, so it’s not tolerance). I can’t find any information about this anywhere! I think it’s something neurological. I even tried mdma for the first time in years and only the third time in my whole life and the high only lasted an hour, where as the person I was with who took the same dose and does drugs often was rolling for like 5 hours. Has anyone else had this happen to them without having a tolerance? Thanks Edit: ALSO AFTER THE BUZZ/HIGH FROM ANY OF THESE THINGS QUICKLY GOES AWAY, MY FACE GETS FLUSHED (not just from alcohol but from any of these things) AND A RANDOM PART OF MY BODY LIKE MY EAR, CHEEKS OR STOMACH BURN RIGHT AS THE HIGH/BUZZ GOES AWAY
