I recently found out my ex passed away from an overdose and was found in the woods after an undetermined number of days. It kills me because he was doing so good and had finally accomplished so many things that were moving his life forward in a new direction. The worst part is that he was left there by whoever he was using with and nobody called for help or attempted to save him, maybe out of fear or simply because whoever it was is a piece of shit.
We live in Florida, in this state if you call for assistance for an overdose you will not be prosecuted or charged so to think that not one single person chose to save a life and call 911 and let him die and discarded his body in the woods like trash is absolutely horrific and cowardly that I can't even let myself think about it for more than a few minutes. If you use opiates or know someone who does please make a life savings choice to carry Narcan or keep some in case you one day need it. There are several organizations that will provide it to you free of cost and even mail it to you. I think it is amazing that these groups exist and provide resources to obtain this life saving medication.
I can include links to the websites that provide Narcan free of charge and will mail it to you or a link to find the nearest distribution center near you if anyone is interested. Please stay safe guys, remember someone is worried about you and cares the next time you drop off for a while to get right. Don't he the reason someone worries themselves to sleep or waits by the phone to make sure your okay, it takes 2 seconds to say "Hi, just want to let you know I'm fine and I'll call you soon".
