Vicodin equivalent without acetaminophen/Paracetamol?

Hello, concerned about acetaminophen/ Paracetamol but not wanting to lose benefits of Vicodin, what is an alternative and what are dose equivalents to try, thanks? (Yes also exploring cannabis.)
BTW - Vicodin is acquired legally by prescription for legit pain issue, doc is clueless though so have to figure out what med to request.
