Psychedelic experience out of smoking weed

Ok, have talked about it to a couple of close friends who smoke weed regularly and no one seems to have gotten an experience like this from weed. Yesterday I smoked this hybrid weed version apparently, which gave me an intense trip. The things I experienced were:

  1. Seeing music explode into kaleidoscopic beats when I closed my eyes. The music would just explode into various colourful patterns in rhythm with the sounds. I can usually make tunes in my head but here that was amplified. I could literally make a ton of simultaneous music all playing in sync in my head in rhythm with the music I was hearing

  2. Everything I saw, I went back to my initial childhood feelings towards it. E.g looking at the light bulb made me get the feeling I got as a kid of seeing the light bulb for the first time. Thats when I realised that as kids, we experience the world in 'feelings'. Each new experience or thing has a feeling which you remember the next time you see it. E.g a train engine you see as a kid gives u a specific feeling which you feel again the next time you see it! Our mind learns by feelings, not words and shapes and sounds. Wow what an epiphany

Has this happened to anyone else? I had a superb full body massage 2 days prior which might've added to the happy trip and relaxation I guess. Also I have a overtly creative brain and I had had 3 beers before smoking up. Anyways, am gonna try replicating the experience again!
