So this is an idea I've been kicking around my head for a while. My friends have told me before that not only do I have a good voice, but I have a bit of a knack for telling stories. I haven't lived the craziest life, but I have found myself in plenty of funny situations because of drugs (buying them, being under the influence, the people I meet while on drugs, ect.) I've been trying to think of a way to put this 'skill' to use and make money, and the best I can think of is stand up comedy or YouTube. Neither are exactly careers unless I'm that lucky/good at it, but it's something that I've always wanted to pursue.
Should I be afraid at all of talking about buying/consuming drugs such as LSD or Xanax? Or even being friends with drug dealers? I know weed has reached a certain level of acceptance, but it's everything else that I'm a tad concerned about.
If it was just YouTube, I'd probably just blur our my face deepen my voice, and never talk about specific times or places, as well as never say anyone's real name. If I tried this on stage though, the most I'll have is not saying any real names.
Does anyone have any experience in this sort of thing? I'm just trying to avoid as much legal trouble as I possibly can.
