Experience coming off oxycodone - overcautious

Post Body

This is probably going to sound a bit lame dose wise but hope to get some experience from real people rather than my dr. who just wants me off it and i had to press for advice. I'm UK based.

I've roughly been on oxycodone since November, having up to 6 doses of 5mg (liquid fast acting) a day max which was usually for pain. However, I have tried to have it less so 3-4 doses in January was more typical which I take alongside paracetamol x4 a day, and now trying to do 2-3. Honestly tho sometimes i wasn't that strict with my liquid pouring so might have been 6-7mg if i was just in a bad mood haha.

Dr. is keen I come off it completely if possible and i'm wondering what side effects you have had in this experience? Is this dose even high enough to have withdrawl ? It's hard for me to tell bc my condition has a lot of weird symptoms and i'm also on steroids which have their own collection!

I have had pretty bad and consistent nausea for months and the oxy with double paracetomal (bigger dose before bed) actually made life worth living when i could not b fd. It's not even tHAt much of an impact but it does really help the anxiety/discomfort of being unwell .

Sorry if a medical sub would be more appropriate but i trust drug people more lol.

Additional context: was hospitalised at the end of October and spent 3 weeks there due to organ inflammation. It took them 2 weeks to diagnose me with a chronic illness called Lupus.
