If you didn't read the title, I have bipolar, which I am not medicated for. I've been manic for the past couple of weeks but recently felt myself slipping into a low and am feeling totally miserable. I've tried doing some research but all that comes up is how it can sometimes help people with depression, but I'm not sure how it might be different with bipolar.
I've done shrooms a few times and I really loved it, they don't make me hallucinate or give me any visuals but they usually just make me happy. I know they boost the serotonin in your brain and stuff, so I was wondering, if I'm in a low right now, would shrooms help elevate my mood and get me out of this low?
I don't know the name of the strain I usually use but the guy who gets me them says they're the social type, which I agree with. I also have only done shrooms when I'm manic and have always loved it, but have no clue how it's going to affect me during a low. My main questions are; Will the shrooms help me feel better?; Will the experience be different when manic vs depressed; And is it a good idea to take some in my current state?
I was unable to find information on this in r/Drugs/wiki/drugs.
