I recently had surgery and was prescribed several painkillers to use on an "as needed" basis. One of these was a pack of twelve 5mg Oxynorm capsules. While I’ve used a couple to manage post-op pain, I’ve mostly relied on the DHC I was also prescribed, as the oxy felt like overkill for the level of discomfort I was experiencing.

I still have eight capsules left, and as someone with a general interest in drugs (though I’ve never used opioids recreationally before), I’m considering trying a higher dose to experience the high. However, I’m a bit cautious since I’ve only taken the oxy a few times and used DHC for a few days, meaning I likely have little to no tolerance. If I decide to do this, I want to ensure I do it as safely as possible.

So my main questions are:

• What would be a good starting dose for a nice high?
  
• Would ten 5mg capsules be enough to split with a friend so we can both have a good experience?
  

I’m fully aware of how addictive opioids are, but since this is a one-off prescription, I figure I can have a cool experience and move on, as I have no way of obtaining more after this batch.
