Post Body

Long story short Iā€™m pathetic. Iā€™ve been sober for almost a year now. I was cleaning my room and found a sack of meth and an old syringe that had previously been used. I rinsed the syringe out with water but thatā€™s about it. I ended up shooting with it and noticed instantly my vein was really red and sorta swollen, bump? (Not a miss) Fast forward today I go to use again in that vein and it barely pulled any blood and was very tender. Also noticed clear liquid leaking from the bump.. it ended up going in but I didnā€™t feel it much at all with the second shot. Like I didnt get the rush or anything like that. Even yesterday the ā€œrushā€ took quite some time to hit me.. It wasnā€™t a miss I wouldā€™ve definitely felt that. Now there is a small lump and a lot of tenderness around the area. (Pit of my arm) it hurts to move my arm. I have a fever and sore throat now? A little nausea but nothing to serious. I donā€™t have health insurance or I wouldā€™ve took my ignorant ass to the hospital already. Iā€™ve been putting a hot compress on the area, what else should I do? Is this just a blown vein? I need advice, not opinions.. please. I know I am the stupidest person in the world and yes I am very ashamed and beating myself up for this. Iā€™m going back to NA this week and truthfully out of all the bad this story is. Iā€™m thankful it wasnā€™t pleasant. because this is not the life I want to live anymore.. maybe I just needed to see that again.. Thanks guys.
