Why do i feel so self conscious and awkward when i’m high lmao?

i wanna enjoy weed so bad, and i do when i’m alone but in social settings or even just w me and my bf , ESPECIALLY out in public i feel so awkward and self conscious. i’m not an awkward or shy person but i literally become mute even if i have a single hit. i’m like not stupid faded i just feel awkward and i hate it. can this be because of my insecurities which i’m pretty good at hiding but when i’m high they feel amplified. how do i fix this ?
