One of my friends has always had an issue where he vomits every time he snorts ketamine, regardless of the dose. This has been a consistent problem for as long as he’s used it. However, he recently discovered that if he takes another drug beforehand (usually 3MMC), he doesn’t experience the nausea or vomiting. I’ve witnessed this myself on multiple occasions, and it really seems to work for him.
I’ve done some research to try to understand why this might be happening, and I’ve come across a few potential factors:
- Ketamine-Induced Nausea: Ketamine can stimulate the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) in the brain, which may explain its tendency to cause nausea in some individuals.
- Role of 3MMC: 3MMC is a synthetic stimulant that acts on dopamine and serotonin pathways. There is limited scientific data on its interaction with ketamine, but some stimulants are known to reduce nausea through effects on the central nervous system.
- Placebo Effect: It’s also possible that the perceived reduction in nausea could be psychological. The expectation that 3MMC will prevent nausea might play a role.
I’m curious if anyone else has experienced something similar or knows of any scientific explanation for this interaction. Could 3MMC’s stimulant properties counteract the nausea caused by ketamine? Or is this more likely to be a placebo effect?
If you have any insights or relevant information, I’d love to hear it.
