I made a post on this a little while ago but I feel like I should repost with more context. I’ve always seemed to lean toward Kpin’s more. The reason I think why are because they have a higher potency than other benzos. I’ve seen people on here say Kpin’s are subtle but I have to disagree. They’re the same potency as xans and we all know about those. I will say Kpin’s give me a the same power that xans do I just feel more in control. It’s a smooth come on and I know when they are gonna kick in. Whereas xans just hit me hard and relatively fast. When I take xans I remember less, but Kpin’s I know when they hit, when they start to wear off, and when the effect is gone. I wanna talk about my other experience with benzos as well to get the convo started on them.

Ativan/Lorazepam, can’t stand them. The effect is so quick. I understand why she’s one of the post child meds for acute panics. Literally the crack of benzos. I don’t suffer from panics like that just more intense anxiety. So it makes sense I don’t vibe with them as much. Also I’m not sure why but Ativan makes me want to vomit every single time. Something about white coated sedatives makes me gag, other examples of that are immediate Ambiens and 2 mg Lunesta.

Librium, a complete no from me. I know they’re used more for alcohol WD and it makes sense when they’re so much weaker. I have to take like 4/5 to feel anxiety relief and like 6-8 to feel semi nice. Idk much about Librium but still a no.

Valium, is so and so. It would rank 3rd for me only because Librium are weak and Ativan just make me upset lol. Valium was the one that we had in the house growing up. Grams said they didn’t work so I just kind of inherited them lol. They have a special place in my heart but even so they just lack for me. I feel like they do the bare minimum for my anxiety. I can’t imagine the 2 and 5mgs helping a lot, 10mgs I could see. Even so if I’m trying to have fun I need at least 40mgs. Apparently 40 equals out to 2mgs of xans and Kpin’s. Even so it feels like how I feel after the peak of Kpin’s. Good but fleeting. I think Valium is the most subtle benzo. The first two slam you and the other two either don’t work or come and go too fast.

For any other benzo I haven’t tried them. I really want to try out Trizaolam, Xanax Extended, and Estazolam. If I came across Temazepam and Oxazepam I’d try them but based on what I heard wouldn’t expect much.

With all that being said is there any other reasons why I might prefer Kpin’s over all else? I’m curious to hear the scientific facts about the medications. I love to hear that technical stuff. With all that being said I love to have fun with benzos but I do also use them for anxiety management. I know what’s enough, when to stop, and when to take a break. Thanks!
