How long can one use codeine once a day without becoming physically dependent?
Post Body

Question is basically in the title. I should add to this, that I was physically addicted to kratom before (for many years) and I'm just recently off for a month or so. I got some codeine syrup from my holiday in a country that sells these OTC. I love it, but I never want to be physically addicted again.

I took it once a day so far for two weeks. Slowly I'm starting to worry, if this could lead to withdrawal effects soon, if I continue like this. It was always just one dose a day.

Codeine is short acting, after like 6h it's basically off your receptors, so I was thinking it might be ok, but I don't want to take any risk. I'm running out of it very soon, maybe I could continue like this for one more week until it's gone. I can't buy it here and I'm definitely not gonna buy kratom again.

Any thoughts? Thanks a lot! :)
