So, long story short, Iâve been taking 0.5mg Xanax daily because I have agoraphobia and literally canât leave my house without it. This incident happened after I hadnât been outside for like 1.5 months.
I decided to venture out to pick up some food from a restaurant. It was super busy, and they told me itâd take 20 minutes for my order. Cool, no problem. But 20 minutes turned into 30 , so I went to ask if I could cancel my order. The staff said theyâd already started making it, so I had to wait.
While waiting, I was scrolling Reddit on my phone, not paying much attention to my surroundings. Then, I noticed this guy holding some food, walking toward me. For some reason, my brain short-circuited, and I thought he was a worker bringing me my order. I asked, âItâs done?â but not very clearly, and the guy looked confused and said, âWhatâs done?â
At this point, I was convinced this dude was carrying my food. I even glanced at the food he was holding, thinking it was mine. Then he said, âWhatâs done, dick? Iâll beat you.â Thatâs when I realized he was not a worker and was getting pissed off.
Turns out, he was just another customer grabbing his own food. And there were two of them, while I was alone. Things started heating up, and they looked ready to fight. I quickly tried to de-escalate by saying, âBro, I thought you were working here.â
Even after that, they were talking trash, but I didnât really catch all of it. The last thing I heard one of them say was, âLet it go⌠itâs our shop.â Thatâs when I realized they probably had low IQs and werenât worth my time.
Moral of the story: Xanax helps with anxiety but doesnât fix misunderstandings, and maybe I should double-check who Iâm talking to before jumping to conclusions.
