I've been off ritalin for 2 months, will my cocaine experience become any different?

Hi, I (31/M) 've been on ritalin for about 7 years, about 40 mg a day. Two months ago I decided it was time for me to quit and try living my life without it. This has been going pretty good and I'm happy I kicked it.

I'm also an occasional coke user. Last time I did it was about 2,5 months ago.

My latest cocaine experiences seem to always follow the same pattern. They start out great but then they kinda fizzle out. I would say I enjoy myself an awful lot about 80% of the night. The last 20% I start getting quite and anxious. Sometimes I become almost unable to talk to people. I start thinking about how great it would be to go home and have a wank, which I then do. Doing another line or drinking more doesn't seem to help that much at that point.

I guess this is a pretty normal cocaine experience. But what I always wondered is whether the fact that I use ritalin on a daily basis has any effect on this experience. Certainly because I've heard that becoming quite and anxious while on coke is typical for ADHD people (however, I have to say, I for one always feel great the first couple of hours).

So now I'm wondering whether the fact that ADHD people often become quite and anxious on cocaine doesn't actually relate to the condition itself but to the medication they're taking. In other words, that it's not the combination of ADHD and cocaine that's making you quite and anxious, but the combination of regular methylphenidate use and cocaine.

I wonder this because I know methylphenidate is designed to not cause the kind of dopamine spiking that occurs during cocaine use. I've read that it allows a more regulated reuptake and secretion of dopamine and noroepinephrine, and allows both to remain in the synapitc cleft for longer than when unmedicated (allowing a more steady and controlled uptake into the post-synapse, and reuptake into the pre-synapse).

I will probably do some blow again at my friend's birthday party in two weeks. So I'm wondering whether my experience will be any different.

Is there anyone who has been in a similar situation and/or wants to weigh on this? Thanks in advance!
