I was in hospital 5 months ago with appendicitis. They gave me hydromorphone (opioid) for the pain, and whilst it helped the pain, I did not get any high and the nausea was unbearable. First time I had ever taken an opioid in my life.
After the surgery I had to argue with my nurse just so she wouldn't give me any more (she gave me keterlac instead), and when instead I asked for more Gravol to help me sleep, she said no, it's addictive (I laughed)...
I've had better times with sugar, alcohol, weed or benzos than with opioids. I can see why people love benzos. What do people see in opioids?
