Methadone vs Buprenorphine

Post Body

From an addict's perspective, which one is better in terms of safety, reduced abuse potential and cravings?

Methadone is a full agonist, does it mean you can up your dose to get high? It also appears to prolong QT intervals which means it can be cardiotoxic.

Does methadone even work for opioid maintenance? Or is the patient likely to abuse it in the same way they did previous opioids?
