Is carbon/oxygen gas a real thing?

I remember seeing a YouTube video reading a report a long time ago about some ratio that’s part carbon dioxide and part oxygen and basically what it is supposed to do is make the body think it’s dying with the crazy amount of carbon dioxide but have some oxygen so the brain doesn’t get harmed.
According to the supposed trip report it was a crazy experience with ego death similar to salvia in terms of being bizzare.
Anyone know if this is a real thing? If it is provide some more detail!
