why can't i enjoy being high

no matter the effects and breaks of usage it's like my mind won't shut off, i could be high but fully coherent and intelligently aware of my traumas and feelings no matter what, even when i try to use socially and ignore bad memories it never clicks, only time it worked was before i went threw more experiences with SA
