Alcohol/ benzodiazepines cross tolerance

Hello so on Thursday I drank by myself almost a whole bottle on wine. So on Friday I took some benzos with no tolerance at all to benzos and I barely felt anything. Same thing for today. I learned there is a cross-tolerance between benzos and alcohol, could it be this ? I thought one botte of wine won’t explode my tolerance but I guess it dit.
