Hey folks! I have been talking to my sister, who's a recovering alcoholic, and she said she's getting concerned about my drug use. For a while, I was using weed almost every day - it's become sort of an unofficial "anti-anxiety" med for me, and oddly, it also helps me focus.
It was after I started doing weed a lot that I got interested in hallucinogens like shrooms and mad honey, which I posted about earlier. Ironically, I take an ADHD medication legally which I think is far more addictive than any of these drugs. If I go off of it for even a day, I feel horrible and can't function. I really like how the hallucinogens make me feel, though, and I don't seem to have some of the negative effects that other people say they experience.
So, what I'm wondering is - at what point are you considered an "addict"? Is it when you can't function without using drugs? Both alcoholism and drug addiction run in our family, so that's one reason I was nervous about it as well.
