i have a serious question and i really hope something more knowledgeable can answer my questions.
My ex-bf has been addicted to nitrous HEAVY for 6 years. The amount i am talking about is going through 5-6 boxes (50ct package of chargers) in one night. he spends almost half of his 1k$ weekly check on nitrous. he will sit all day doing nitrous to the point where he isnât able to have conversation. and then he has tank connects and will sit and just suck on the tank all weekend long. he literally keeps a juice container so he can pee without going to the bathroom. he literally sits all weekend going thru a tank a weekend, basically alone too. This habit has been going on 5-6 years. He is also an alcoholic (normal night is a 12 pack), does a lot of psychedelics (acid, dmt), and when he had ketamine access (he lived with me and i have a lot of connects in my city bc my social circle ket is like king. He also abuses Testosterone. To put it in perspective if you can understand more: my brother is a trans man, so he has been taking T biweekly. he takes a 0.35mg shot biweekly. my ex was taking 1.0 weekly. if he didnât have it he was so depressed and lifeless. he was developing side effects (intense mood swings, extreme anger, growing breast tissue, acne his whole body) he doesnât work out. he takes it because he likes how it makes him feel. oh and has been taking kratom almost daily for over 6 years.
with the nitrous he does take b12 often, but when he does nitrous his eyes change. he looks evil. he was so mean to me while using it. and he had psychotic features. he thought Tipper was speaking to him thru his sets
the last time i saw him he blew out the back of his throat bc he took too big of a hit out of a mini tank from a smoke shop because he was so fucked up on nitrous he literally didnât know what was happening. i was hysterical and took away the tank. i said âno more for tonightâ he begged for it back and then he said he was going to book a hotel then.
what are the risks of this severe nitrous addiction? do the other abuse of the other substances increase health risk/death? i swear he will die by 40. I have had a lot of friends, and people I know die (mostly dope OD) and i always had a good reader when i saw someone i would call they werenât gonna last too much longer. iâm a recovering addict myself. I was addicted to ketamine the past 4 years (im a garbage pale, i have had a problem with most other substances as well) It severely affected my cognition and coordination. Choline and NAC has saved me and i feel my brain healing. Iâve done plenty of of nitrous in my life, but itâs a every 3-6 month drug for me, buy a box of 50ct and thatâs all. i take it a much easier now because i have a chronic health condition and nitrous messes with it.
TDLR; my ex-bf has been severely addicted to nitrous for 6 years. also an alcoholic, does alot of psychedelics, and abuses testosterone really bad. what are the risks he is putting himself in? even though heâs my ex, i would be crushed if he died. he is already showing signs of psychosis. he looks terrible, sunken pale eyes, etc.
thanks everyone
EDIT: I appreciate everyoneâs comments. But, my point of the post was asking only - what are the potential health risks/risk of death/what type of health issues could be caused by this drug abuse of my ex. I apologize if I didnât make that clear.
Also, he is my ex. I havenât had contact with him in a year. I just have been thinking about this and wanted to learn how serious this substance abuse is. It has just been bothering me. I still care for him and I almost want information so I can prepare for that notification.
But I appreciate all of your guys input. He does need serious help. But you can only save yourself.
