Why are opioids so weak?

Post Body

I used codeine in the past but it didn't make very high but I felt something at 300mgs and 480mgs used to make me paradoxically stimulated and mildly relaxed.

But I got my hands on 200mg morphine er pills and 80mg et oxy's. (yes they were real I'm not from the US and I can get real pharma drugs easily). But at first I had no tolerance so I crushed up and took the 80mg oxy (I had some previous experience and any dose below that didn't make me high) I got mildly high, not enough to nod. I had to take another oxy to start nodding.

Next day I took 2 200mg morphine pills (crushed up) and i got only mildly high even comparable to my first time doing 480mg codeine (what's going on?) but somewhat stronger.

So what's the deal with opioids? On this sub everyone says they are very dangerous, addictive and deadly but I have no cravings for them and even basic stimulants like methylphenidate can give me cravings.

To overdose I would have to take at least >180mg of oxycodone (without a tolerance) and psychonaut wiki says the strong dose is 40mgs.
