Taking telmisartan on coke nights to avoid high blood pressure.

Hope this is a no stupid questions day, but hypothetically, could one take a blood pressure medication like telmisartan or linisopril on nights where blood pressure increasing drugs were consumed to mitigate the dangers of the high blood pressure?
