So for context I’m 19 M and I was recently prescribed vistaril seroquel and remeron. I’m on a low dose of remeron (7.5 mg at bedtime) and it really helps me sleep and improves my mood but I was doing some digging and I found out that it’s addictive as fuck?! So the whole reason I’m worried is I have an addictive personality and that’s why I’m on these new meds because I was on lorazepam 1mg daily but the doc took me off it because of risk of addiction. So my question is why the hell did they give me another addictive substance?!? I know it’s not controlled substance but apparently remeron IS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE and hard as fuck to come off of.
