I get it. Alcohol is legal and other drugs aren’t so it’s easy to feel resentful towards society and people who drink. But alcohol is a drug too, so it doesn’t make sense to say “alcohol sucks once you’ve discovered other better drugs”
Some of us enjoy our GABAergics. Personally I enjoy alcohol a lot more than benzos. I don’t get euphoric on benzos, I just feel relieved from anxiety. I get the same stupidity that alcohol gives me, but not the euphoria. Benzos are still very nice though, and I feel that this sub hates on them too much as well. They work damn well at what they’re supposed to do, and they’re pretty fun as long as you don’t go full bartard.
Is alcohol (or anything else) the best drug, the worst drug, or somewhere in between? Well, that comes down to personal preference. Simple as that. Not everyone who has done other drugs hates alcohol, and not all of them like weed and psychedelics. I enjoy weed a lot but sometimes I get anxious on it, so I can’t smoke too much at once. With alcohol I’m almost guaranteed to have a good time, regardless of set and setting.
