Hello there people !
So I'm planning a 14 day dark room therapy ( if you don't know it's live in total darkness for a few days/weeks ).
I have done during the last year many darkness retreat, 6 days, 9 days and 12 days.
It was always a challenging but so full of insight and revelation, like a really long trip ( there is a theory that the brain convert the excess melatonine into dmt/5-meodmt but no proof of it, even if my intuition based on mu experience on microdosing these molecule makes me think it's probably true, but can't be sure ).
I never had any issues before, and I used psychedelics only during the last retreat of 12 days. I did a 75ug trip the first night, and very little microdoses of like 50mg of shrooms during the 2 to 4th days.
The psychedelic trip helped me to accept to let go and confront thoses 300hours in the dark, and tje microdoses helped me ease into the first day that in my opinion are the most difficult cause you have to go through boredom, after the 4 first say I always feel that everything is intensified and passionating, sometime really difficult but at least it's not boredom.
I didnt go in the dark for more than a year, and these last week I focussed a lot on meditation, diving deep into silence and my self and I had the intuition to start a 14 day retreat darkness soon.
And last time I had a feeling that a Nexus Flip ( the combination of MDMA & 2C-B ) would be really interesting as its an experience that can have a deep therapeutic usage without getting to deep into the psychedelic mind, there is an interesting trip report of Josikins ( psychonautwiki foundator ) on psychonaut about this combination if you're curious. And I personnaly tested few times this combination since 2016 and I feel like I'm confortable with this mix, and going deep into something that is more therapeutical than soul shattering and full of insight like an lsd/shroom trip may be more benefical.
My question is, if anyone have experience or intuition, wich day would better to do this ? I'm thinking about the 4th day cause it's when there is really a switch in the experience and I'm still not that deep into it so it don't feel overwhelming ( I'll keep my dosage on the low end anyway ).
Cause in darkness things intensify themselves at a very high speed.
I remember eating 1mg oral THC the 11th day of my last retreat and it felt stronger than a 20mg oral THC edible in a normal situation.
So I already have my idea, but as not many people are aware or have knowledge about this kind of practices I was thinking maybe here some of you, even if they didn't try something vaguely similar, may have an intuition.
My goal when I go into darkness is mainly to let go deeply into meditation etc, find peace of mind, connect with my depths, and let go of the conditionning and dig deep into my authenticity through traumas and suffering.
I'm aware that darkness retreat or a psychedelic trip on their own have risks and that combining them have a higher risk. But I think that I explored them with enough responsability and respect than exploring new horizons that aren't that far from my previous experience that went all well it isn't as crazy as it may sound for someone not familiar with thoses practices.
I'm a 27yo Male who is since 2015 exploring psychedelics and other way to an alternate state of mind ( psychonautisme as we are all here ) and I work with people like swiss psychedelic therapist or people with PhD in psychedelic history etc... it's just that my exploration is a little too far from what they are used too.
And maybe some of you fellow psychonauts may have a suggestion or something helpful to suggest/add.
Thanks for your time
Tl:dr : want to do a nexus flip during a 14 days darkness retreat, need to decide which day exactly
