I was prescribed to take 0.3mg of Clonidine per day for the past 6 months for sleep. But recently I hated the way it was making me feel when I woke up in the morning. So I stopped it and started taking 10mg of Melatonin and 50mg of Seroquel every night before bed (Feel absolutely renewed every day I wake up) but OH MY F'ING JEEZUS. The pain I feel starting about 4 hours after waking up in my chest and major headaches is ridiculous. I started taking 0.1mg again to at least offset the borderline Benzo level withdrawal.... But I am curious, why would my doctor not tell me about the possible withdrawal from Clonidine and why is it not a Controlled Substance giving it's extreme sedation effects at what they consider a medium dosage.
