Lying on your side makes drugs work faster

I've seen a few studies about this, and one says that you digest medicine like 100% faster when lying on your right side compared to the left and like 50% faster than sitting up. I was very curious and decided to test it.

I took about 18 kratom capsules (each 0.35g) as I usually do. This usually takes like 1.5-2 hours for me to feel the buzz. This time I laid exclusively on my right side and I was already feeling it way more than usual after 40 mins.

I wonder, would this also help with the insane time you have to wait for edibles to kick in?
