Had a funny situation today. My dog’s been prescribed some antibiotics. Anyone who’s ever tried knows, some trickery is necessary to get them to consume it. Putting it in his food with water, hiding it in peanut butter or cheese, anything we tried he would manage to eat literally EVERYTHING except the pill.

My wife read online that a good method is crushing the pill and mixing with some gravy or something. She starts trying to break it in half, can’t do. She tries cutting with a knife-still no success. She texts me (I’m at work), “these pills are fucking indestructible dude, the fuck?”

I’ll be getting home from work soon, I text her, and say “I GOT THIS”.

I got home, grabbed my trusty pill crusher (an espresso tamper) and went to town. Five seconds later I’ve pulled out my credit card and scraped the now-powderized pill into his bowl. Mixed with some gravy, he licked the whole thing clean.

Wife said: “wow.. I love you but also hate you”
