Now of course things like smoking, ingesting, injecting etc. are all going to take different amount of times before they start working. In particular though I'm curious what everyone's experiences are with drugs that are taken in the same way but seemingly take more or less time to work than other drugs. For this one I'm not really considering things like ingesting thc/edibles/etc. which are already known to take about twice as long as ingesting most other drugs.

For me most drugs that I ingest take about an hour to start working, but for whatever reason when I take Adderall that takes at least 2 hours to start working. I have no idea why because I don't necessarily have a fast metabolism but I don't really have a slow one either. I know the fact that everyone is different and reacts differently to different substances, but still I think it's kind of weird that I seem to metabolize every other substance in a pretty standard timeframe except Adderall.
