"Harm reduction" instead of abstinence?

Post Body

I've never been able to stay sober on my own since I started abusing substances 17 years ago. I self medicate mostly. I've rarely actually been addicted to anything besides alcohol, and I don't drink anymore. I've recently been getting mental health treatments like therapy and medication. I'm wondering about trying to treat myself with micro dosing mushrooms (that I plan to grow myself) as the safest way to self medicate. I've also used kratom for several years and weed on and off. Thoughts or advice?
