I’m a pretty self aware person, and most times in social events e.g parties/big gatherings, the day after I always find myself saying “damn, I regret smoking/drinking/sniffing etc.”
Most people at social settings do drugs to lower their inhibitions (i.e make themselves more open/relaxed). But what I’ve found is sometimes, my sober inhibitions are actually preferred. At least if I stay sober, the day after I can’t just sit there and blame myself for getting high/drunk and acting like a fool
Anyone else experience this too? What changes did you make? Did you decide to completely stay sober in social environments, or simply take less?
