Does anyone know what drug would cause this?
Post Body

So my dad is an ex-heroin addict turned alcoholic. He has worked really hard for his recovery, he was addicted to heroin for decades and he hasn’t used for over 2 years, and me and my mom are trying really hard to support him and encourage him to keep going.

The other day, him and my mom had a major argument because he was drunk and being aggressive and he left to go to his friends house for a few days. He phoned me to tell me about something that happened and has now came home and told me about it in person

He told me he went to look at a plastering job for that friend’s friend, and the last thing he remembers is sitting down on the sofa and they were pouring shots (no idea why they’d be pouring shots at a job, but anyways). He completely blacks out and only vaguely remembers him hitting his head and the guy picking him up and putting him in his car. He claims he was dumped on his friends driveway. His friend came out and my dad was non stop vomiting and had pooped himself. He got in the shower and his friend stayed up with him to make sure he was awake in case of a head injury.

Does this sound like just alcohol or something else? I know alcohol can definitely cause blackouts and vomiting but my dad can handle alcohol VERY well and can drink a lot of it before you can even tell he’s drunk. I’m just worried about him and want to know if it sounds typical for heroin or something else?
