Was talking to the plug about Alprazolam and am confused?

Hello was talking to my plug about Xanax and how I could make sure if they are really valid scripts and what not and he responded with. “They are not xans, xans are a street drug name I get aprazolams ,the real thing a xan tries to copy. Any xan is fake fam that's why I don't sell it, I only sell stuff from the pharmacy.” I’m confused if he just made a typo on Alprazolam which I’m 99% sure lol but I’d like further info on how “every xan is fake” could someone please help me out with that?
